American blacks went through five unnatural selections:
(1) Most American slaves were prisoners before they got to America. They were captured in wars among African tribes. A sickly, skinny war prisoner had no value, hence no chance of survival.
(2) In the unlikely event a sickly, skinny prisoner did survive, the European slave traders would not have selected him.
(3) Thousands of slaves perished on ships en route to America.
(4) In the very unlikely event a sickly skinny guy made it past the three unnatural selections just mentioned, the American slave owners would have passed over him at auction time.
(5) No need to discuss the life of a slave on a plantation.
